Belmont Batcave is for everyone. We want our website and our store to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or other assistive technology. This page explains where we stand and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
01Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our target standard, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time box to check. Accessibility is also consistent with our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
02What we've done
- Semantic, structured HTML with headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and labels on form fields.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus outlines on links and buttons.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences and readable color contrast on core content.
- A responsive layout that works across phones, tablets, and desktops.
03Known limitations
Some parts of the Site rely on third-party content we don't fully control — for example the embedded Instagram feed and map links. These may not always meet the same standard. We choose accessible alternatives where we can and we're working to improve the rest.
